March 20, 2009Dr. Bob Andrews presented "Breakthrough Thinking and Problem Solving" at the Czech NATO base in Brno, Czech Republic. He presented two lectures at Krizovatka Inc., Trnava, Slovakia: "An Overview of the Three Major Worldviews" and "Why I am Not a Naturalist, Transcendentalist or Postmodernist" (February 26 - March 3).
Dr. Jeff Myers has the following schedule:
- March 5 and 6 – Keynote speaker for the ACSI Administrator Conference in Columbus, Ohio
- March 15 and 16 – Participant in the Passing the Baton Donor and Supporter event in Sandy Cove, Maryland
- March 19-23 – Keynote speaker for the Association of Lutheran Secondary Schools Administrator Conference Cruise, Miami, Bahamas, and Cozumel
- April 14 and 15 – Keynote speaker for the Institute for Internal Auditors, Chattanooga, TN
- April 17 – Speaker for the Bryan College Board of Trustees
- April 26-29 – Keynote speaker for the ACSI Administrator Conference, Seaside, OR
Dr. Sigrid Luther has been elected Vice President of the Music Teachers National Association, an organization that includes thousands of members. Her term of office will run from April 2009-April 2011.
The Biblical Studies faculty will present the following papers at the Evangelical Theological Society meeting April 3-4:
- Dr. Jud Davis will present “Prepositions and Christology: How the littlest words bankrupt evolutionary Christologies.”
- Dr. Doug Kennard will present “Does Deuteronomy as Suzerainty Treaty Advocate Covenant Nomism?” He will also present a paper for the Evangelical Philosophical Society entitled “Potential Evil in the Biblical Account of the Original Good Creation.”
- Biblical Studies students will make presentations as follows:
Ashley Baker will present “Reversing the Curse: Boaz and Ruth at the Threshing Floor.”
Mark Baker will present: “God’s Mission for the Church in Romans.”
