Dr. Jeff Myers will have the following schedule:
May 2 and 3 – Summit Ministries participation in the Summit board meeting as chair of the board

Dr. Roger Sanders and Dr. Todd Wood have had their peer review paper posted on the Answers Research Journal site. It is entitled “Toward a Practical Theology of Peer Review,” and may be accessed at www.answersingenesis.org/articles/arj/v1/n1#theology-peer-review.

Dr. Mel Wilhoit sang in performances of Brahm’s Requiem with the Chattanooga Symphony Opera and Chorus on March 28 and 29, at the Tivoli Theater in Chattanooga. On April 4 and 6 he sang with the Chattanooga Bach Choir in its spring concerts in Cleveland and Chattanooga. He also presented a paper, “R. E. Winsett Music Company: A Case Study in Ma and Pa Publishing,” at Middle Tennessee State University’s conference “Farther Along: Southern Gospel Singing Convention Music” on April 4.

Dr. Ray Smith was elected Chairman of the Board of Lumiere Medical Ministries (Saturday, April 12, 2008), at the annual meeting of the Board of Directors  www.lovetheycanfeel.org) .  LMM, a 501-c-3 organization, is headquartered in Gastonia, North Carolina.  Ray and his wife, Cathie, helped established a medical/surgical hospital in a remote area of southern Haiti in 1977.  LMM’s vision is to ‘demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ by providing medical, educational, and rehabilitative services…’  Currently, the organization supports community health initiatives, hospitals, clinics and a variety of schools in Haiti and Antigua.  LMM works through several partner agencies and churches.  If you or any church or organization with which you are affiliated would like to help in this outreach, please contact Dr. Smith or contact the Gastonia office directly.  Specifically, LMM sends medical professionals, equipment and supplies, and short-term work teams for assignments in either Haiti or Antigua.  We are also recruiting career medical missionaries, especially for Haiti.”
