Spiritual Formation

A student's spiritual development is a primary concern at Bryan College. To assist students the college uses four major components in its intentional pursuit of spiritual formation: corporate worship, Christian life formation classes, outreach, and local church involvement.

CORPORATE WORSHIP (CHAPEL)chapel.jpg

Chapel programming is held on campus regularly each week featuring worship, student-led programs, periodic small group prayer, as well as messages from members of the college faculty and other Christian leaders. Each semester begins with a conference series emphasizing spiritual life, Christian life, or missions.

OUTREACH (PCI)

LOCAL CHURCH

Involvement in a local church is an essential part of the spiritual development process for every Christian. The Dayton-Chattanooga area provides numerous opportunities for involvement in local churches. Becoming a part of the body life of a local congregation is highly encouraged. Bryan students are expected to attend Sunday morning worship services at the church of their choice.

CHRISTIAN LIFE FORMATION CLASSES

A series of for-credit courses are offered which focus on important basics of spiritual development. These one-hour classes feature topics such as Christian foundations, spiritual disciplines, the church, missions, readings in Christian classics, and worldview and life.
