The Broadside
A student introduced The Broadside during the 2003-04 school year. On one 11” x 17” sheet, several times during the school year, it publishes the creative writing—poetry, short stories, and essays—of Bryan students and faculty. The publication’s goal is to present truth in a creative way. Over the years Bryan students have consistently shown interest in doing and discussing creative writing (the Creative Writing class offered each year is usually filled quickly, and many students enter the creative writing contest sponsored each spring semester by the English Department). Other publications have at times in the past offered a forum for the best of this work. The Broadside has its own special approach but continues this tradition.
