What if Scripture is meant to actually be alive and help us to be alive? What might life be like if I actually met God in the pages of the ancient text? What if studying Scripture were less about analyzing a book and more about engaging in an awesome conversation? What if Scripture mattered to my soul? These are some of the questions that Drs. Jud Davis and Drew Randle will be addressing as we explore ancient (and contemporary) ways that the people of God have interacted with Him through Scripture in order to aid in our own souls’ quest to know God intimately. As a retreat CLF, we’ll have some awesome times together over coffee during the weekend of Nov. 6-8.

The Worldview Team will conduct a conference for the Junior class at Silverdale Baptist Academy.

Ben Williams will be presenting at the ACSI Educator's Convention in Raleigh, NC.

Featuring students of the Bryan College Music Department. This event is free and open to the public.

The Lady Lions will compete at home against the Lady Ambassadors.

The Lady Lions will travel to Nashville, TN, to compete against the Trojans in the Trevecca Nazarene University Classic.

The Lions will travel to Cleveland, TN, to compete against the Flames.

The Lions will compete against the Crusaders in Chattanooga, TN.

Today’s chapel is a Corporate Worship Chapel. We believe that worship is a lifestyle of response to God as we come to know Him better. Corporate worship is a unique part of that worship lifestyle that invites the Bryan family to respond together to God's work among us.

Carter Johnson, pastor of Westminister Presbyterian Church in Dayton, TN will be sharing with us today. Carter's good sense of humor and solid grounding in scripture have endeared him to many in the Dayton area.

Dr. Robert Brabenec began teaching mathematics at Wheaton College in June 1964, and after a 2-year tour of active duty as an Army captain in missile intelligence, he returned to Wheaton in 1967 to become chair of the newly formed Department of Mathematics. He has 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Dr. Brabenec enjoys travel, general history and biographies, and visiting museums and historical sites.

Dr. Robert Brabenec received a B.S. in mathematics from Wheaton College in 1960 and a doctorate in mathematics with a specialty in analysis from the Ohio State University in 1964. He has taught mathematics at Wheaton College for 45 years. During this time he has developed a special interest in the history of mathematics and especially the foundational ideas in the development of mathematics since 1600. Dr. Brabenec has had sabbaticals at Cambridge University in England and at the University of Virginia, and he presently is taking a sabbatical to visit fifteen colleges to present lectures and lead discussions on topics from the foundations of mathematics. These will be presented in an historical context and will include connections to Christian faith where appropriate.
