This Honors Day program is primarly for the purpose of honoring and making awards and scholarships to underclass students.

This is the second of two Honors Days. Upperclass students are honored, receive awards and scholarships, and faculty and staff are honored for years of service.

Musical Showcase Concert featuring soloists and ensembles from the Bryan College Music Department. This concert is free and open to the public.

This is the last day to withdraw passing/withdraw failing.

Seniors plan an inspirational program of music and testimony for their families, faculty and staff. The program concludes with a ribbon cutting under the direction of President Livesay. A reception follows at the home of the President.

Minimester is a three-week session that begins Monday, May 11, and ends on Friday, May 29. Students attend class from 9 am - noon.

Last day for students to register for summer academic credit. This includes tutorials and independent studies.

All offices are closed for Memorial Day.

This is a time for all Bryan College staff (full-time and part-time) to fellowship together over lunch in the Rhea County Room. Announcements are given and there is a small program.

Bryan College Seniors plan and implement their last chapel, reflecting back on their Bryan experience.

The Lions will compete aginst the Scots in the Appalachian Athletic Conference Tournament in Kingsport, TN.

We welcome Class of 1959 back to Bryan College for their 50th Reunion! This event starts today at 11:00 a.m. in the downstairs of the Alumni Rhea House. Enjoy a light lunch/refreshments while you fellowship with your classmates. Campus tours will also be available at this time.

At 5:30 we will enjoy a delicious dinner together, along with dessert and a sweet time of sharing.

Class of 1959 will be honored during the Bryan College Commencement Ceremony. Please meet on the 3rd Floor of the Latimer Student Center where you can enjoy an continental breakfast & take pictures in your graduation regalia. Graduation starts at 9:30 a.m.

Create, Craft, Collaborate - 2009 Writing Workshop Series - The focus of this workshop will be character development in fiction writing. Join Mr. Kyle Rascher as he discusses the notion that a character is an integral being, possessing qualities that may not be omitted in characterization.

Chamber Singers in concert , time and place TBD. This event is free and open to the public.

Participants will go to various studio locations in the Rudd Chapel building which are already assigned to them.

RIDE has a weekly outing every Tuesday from 4:15 - 9:00. Ladies can meet outside of Robinson Room 118. Men can meet outside of Robinson Base. Bring a fruit from the cafeteria, because you will get hungry.

This is an opportunity available Mondays-Thursdays to tutor at YMCA from 3:30-4:30. If interested, then please contact Elizabeth Benscoter, elizabeth.benscoter@bryan.edu, as drivers vary from day to day for carpooling. Also, students that are interested will need to fill out a form the YMCA has before tutoring.

This is a reception in the Rhea County Room for faculty and staff to say farewell to their fellow colleagues who are leaving Bryan this summer.

Come learn about Bryan's Italy Abroad semester, essentially a satellite campus at Saints Bible Institute in northern Italy where you can earn 19 credit hours with BC professors. Core classes include Fine Arts, New Testament Lit, Cross-cultural Evangelism, and Intercultural Comm (plus several electives). Take field trips to Rome, Florence, and Venice, while living in an Italian village.

You are very welcome to come to any of these “Open Gyms” (June 4, June 16, July 9, July 21, August 8). If you want to bring a friend or two that is okay as well. We will split up into a couple of teams and play for about 2 hours, or how long people want to play. You don’t have to be coming to Bryan or even be interested in playing at Bryan to come.
