Faculty meet to plan and discuss matters related to the academic year

Continuing students return to campus to begin the fall semester.

This year in chapel, we will be exploring how our faith relates to culture and the creative arts. Kicking off the semester, we’re delighted to welcome Gary Stratton, Executive Director or the Act One program, for our Spiritual Life Conference.

The Act One program trains and mentors Christians for careers in mainstream film and television. Their goal is to prepare students to produce film and TV projects that combine mastery of craft with great depth and meaning. Stratton is devoted to the professional and spiritual development of the students participating in Act One. His passion for spiritual formation and film are outweighed only by his love for his Savior, his wife and his four children.

Faculty Workshop continues for the second day of a three-day workshop.

This is the third and final day of Faculty Workshop.

Students register for classes.

Convocation, the formal opening of the academic school year, takes place in Rudd Auditorium at 7:00 P.M. The program includes recognition of Presidential Scholars and a special speaker. This is followed by a reception for all students, faculty and staff.

This is the last day to add or drop a course. It is the last day to drop a course and receive any applicable refund of fees and/or tuition related to that course. Only withdrawals will be processed after this date.

You are very welcome to come to any of these “Open Gyms” (June 4, June 16, July 9, July 21, August 8). If you want to bring a friend or two that is okay as well. We will split up into a couple of teams and play for about 2 hours, or how long people want to play. You don’t have to be coming to Bryan or even be interested in playing at Bryan to come. This test is for enrolled Bryan students who wish to improve their ACT scores or need placement for enrollment/registration at Bryan. Students must have their admissions counselor register them with the Career Office. Enrolled students must register with the Career Office directly. Cost is $30, to be paid on the test day in cash or a check made out to Bryan College. Bring a calculator. The test site is Mercer 317, and the test takes approximately 4 hours.

This dinner is provided by the Board of Trustees for Bryan faculty and staff and their families.

New faculty and staff members along with their families enjoy a cookout at the President's home. A special guest for the kids (and the young at heart) will be Gospel magician David McMichael ('78) who will present his program, "Magic with a Message."

Formerly known as the "Bryan Film Lecture Series," this year's "Story & Craft Series" will embrace the multi-disciplinary arts that come together to produce a film. These events will be held at Create Here, 55 East Main Street, Suite 105, Chattanooga, TN 37408. Guest speaker: Joe O’Brien-writer, director, and producer of the film Endure, starring Judd Nelson, Tom Arnold, and Devon Sawa, a detective movie set in FL. Joe will talk to us about the joys and pains of making his first feature-length film.

Faculty, staff and families, and students enjoy an all-day outing. Activities will include field games, frisbee, 200-foot waterslide, picnic lunch, swimming (the blob & the iceberg), putt-putt golfing, hiking, fishing, and canoeing. [ more details ]

During this "Framing Chapel" the Spiritual Formation Staff will introduce the direction for this year's chapel series.

During this chapel hour, President Livesay will address the Bryan community.

Today’s chapel is a Corporate Worship Chapel. We believe that worship is a lifestyle of response to God as we come to know Him better. Corporate worship is a unique part of that worship lifestyle that invites the Bryan family to respond together to God's work among us.
