Department of History
The Department of History provides students with a background in the proper techniques for evaluating historical works, engaging in professional methods of historical research, and developing advanced writing and oral presentation skills.
On behalf of the faculty of the Bryan College Department of History, I am pleased to know that you share with us an interest in a subject we have spent most of our lives studying. Interpreting history with an understanding of God's written word gives us special insights into and understanding of the past. Ultimately, every issue has a spiritual component, and when we keep that in mind, it helps us develop a more complete worldview. We invite you to join us in this quest here.
Bryan's pre-law advisor is Dr. William Ketchersid, Professor of History. If you are considering majoring in law, you might wish to contact him at ketcheb@bryan.edu. He can discuss options with you about how to plan an academic program that will help you gain admission to law school.
Yours in Christ,Dr. Jack W. Traylor
