Majors and Options
Here at Bryan we offer a wide variety of majors, many of which have several different emphases in the particular field, in a pursuit to train the next generation of world changers and culture shapers. It is with this mindset that we pursue academic excellence in a great many fields of study. Our qualified faculty are able to teach in small classroom settings because of our low student to faculty ratio (14:1). This allows for the personal approach that enables our faculty to really get to know their students.
Each Bryan student is provided a full time faculty member within their department to act as an academic advisor. This deepens the relationship between the Bryan students and the faculty. Planning your schedule becomes an exciting event when you are working with someone who not only knows what you need to take to graduate but also knows you as a person and is very involved in helping you get the best education that you can and tailoring it specifically to you.
Besides your professors and friends helping you through college, the Academic Support Center is available to assist you. The center is located in the library, for easy access to students. Help is available on a wide variety of subjects and levels. Great when you need a fresh set of eyes on something.
Chapel
Chapel is every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:00. It allows the entire student body to come together for worship, speakers, and other special presentations. Attendance is required; however, students are allowed a certain number of skips for things like sickness. Listen in on a chapel through our chapel podcast.
Study Abroad
Studying abroad with Bryan is easy to do and easy to work into almost any major at Bryan. Our Italy Abroad program is available through a partnership with Saints Bible Institute of San Lorenzo, Italy. The program offers classes which give you several core curriculum credits as well as a Bible minor. Also, as the program is through Bryan College, your financial aid can apply to the trip. See the Bryan Italy Abroad site for more information.
If you want to study abroad in another location with another program, Bryan will work with you as you set it up to ensure that credits apply and are useful to your major. If you have any questions about these, contact the registrar.
Bryan Institute
Taking on the difficult issues of our day, the Bryan Institute allows Bryan students to join seminars with the top minds of the world in issues such as, Natural Law, Human Trafficking, and Global Warming. (See all past seminars) Students have the chance to go to a seminar for credit, or for their own interest. Many classes also offer extra credit for attendance.
The Bryan Institute also comprises several other groups including the Center for Leadership Initiatives. CLI runs the Commoner Hall, a series of student-led forums, and the Bryan Honors Program.
