Prospective Students

Why are you considering Bryan College?

Yes, the view from our 125-acre hilltop campus is breathtaking. But the views you’ll encounter inside our classrooms will be even more phenomenal. Imagine tackling Biological Origins from a Biblical perspective. It’s called a Biblical worldview, and it’s a huge part of the Bryan campus and educational experience.

In small classes (average size: 12), you’ll match wits, philosophies, and beliefs with friendly, caring, intensely scholarly professors from across the country. More than 80 percent hold doctorates from institutions such as Harvard and Dallas Theological Seminary. And while all of our professors are Christians, they’re here to educate, not indoctrinate.

So as you explore our web site, take notice of the meaningful facets of this academic community. You may just find that Bryan College is your choice for a scholastically challenging and spiritually invigorating experience.

  • Our Academics. At Bryan, you’ll have 18 majors with nearly 40 distinct options to choose from--all from the viewpoint of a Biblical worldview. We’re home to the Center for International Leadership, the Center for Origins Research and Education, and the Bryan Center for Critical Thought and Practice.
  • Our Students. Our incoming class is from more than 33 states and 9 countries. Average ACT: 25. Average GPA: 3.64. Most come from private or Christian high schools. Many are home schooled (30 percent of our incoming class, in fact). Some will tour with the Bryan College Chorale to England, France, and Belgium. Others will intern in Africa, India, and Europe or participate in the Italy Abroad Semester Program.
  • Our Ministry. At Bryan, chapel is a major part of campus life. In fact, it’s required. (And you’ll love it!) Through PCI (Practical Christian Involvement), nearly 41 percent of Bryan students volunteer their time in off-campus ministry activities.
  • Our Campus. Being just minutes from the foothills of the Smoky Mountains means plenty of chances for canoeing, kayaking, rappelling, spelunking, white-water rafting, rock climbing, and hiking in the Tennessee mountain countryside.
  • Our Rankings. U.S.News&World Report has named us one of the best colleges in the South for 13 consecutive years. Little wonder then that 90 percent of our students enter their first (or second) choice of occupation right after graduation. Nearly 50 percent go into business and the professions. Another 30 percent become teachers. Many study at leading institutions such as Harvard, Vanderbilt, and St. John's Graduate Institute.
