The Department of Languages and Linguistics provideds students with coursework in ancient and modern languages as well as experiences in the scientific analysis of language to fulfill core curriculum requirements; support other majors, minors, and concentrations; and provide programs that meet the professional and educational needs of graduates.

The Department of Languages and Linguistics is designed to provide students with the coursework and experiences in Spanish, French, and Linguistics that fulfill the requirements of the core curriculum program and support the various major and minor programs of the college.

We offer a major in Spanish, while other majors are being planned. We offer a minor in Spanish here at Bryan and also have a minor in Linguistics through the GIAL program in Texas. For more information about that program, please click here.
