Procedure for Releasing an Academic Transcript
Options for Submitting Request
Federal law requires that we have your signature in order to release your transcript. Therefore, please choose one of these options when submitting a transcript request:
- Mail your request (write your own letter or use this form) with signature to:

- Fax your request with signature to 423.775.7215.
- Attach a scanned document of your signature request to an email addressed to registrar@bryan.edu.
Timing
Transcripts are normally processed within two working days except during holidays or the beginning and end of the semester. Please note that official transcript requests will be processed only if all accounts with the college are clear and all student loans are in good standing.
Required Information
Please include the following information with your written request:
- Full name (please make certain maiden/former names are included if applicable)
- Current address
- Social Security number
- Dates of attendance or date of graduation
- Number of copies required
- Complete address(es) for mailing the transcript(s).
- The signature of the person whose transcript is being requested
Cost
One official transcript and unofficial student copies of your transcript are free when a request in writing is submitted. Unofficial student copies do not bear the college seal or official signature of the college registrar. Additional transcripts are $5 per copy.
We accept cash, check or money order made payable to Bryan College. Payment must be included with your request. If you need a rush transcript (within 48 hours) the cost is $20 per copy plus the cost of postage.
